We created an atmosphere true to the legend of Halloween. A number of “dummies” were made and placed in various precarious positions around the venue, eg. In chairs, front porch and even one hanging from a tree. The “dummy” hanging from the tree caused a disturbance as guests arrived. A neighbour who lived close to the venue was driving past on her way home and saw him hanging from the tree.

In a desperate panic she drove down the driveway and frantically knocked on the door to alert the host that there was someone hanging from the tree. When the host answered the door in full costume, the neighbour was very much relieved to know that the “dummy” was not the host’s husband. Caterer’s ensured all guests were satiated with a la carte food and bar service was in attendance for those drinking wine and champagne. A trophy and prizes were organised for the best dressed.
